Medical Biller – Home Health & Hospice

We're seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller with experience in Home Health and/or Hospice billing—someone who understands that accurate billing is essential to delivering timely, quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation to ensure billing accuracy

• Assign accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes for services rendered

• Submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers

• Investigate and resolve denials and delayed claims

• Collaborate with providers and patients to support accurate billing

• Keep up-to-date with payer guidelines and compliance requirements

• Assist with authorizations and pre-certifications as needed

• Ensure all billing practices comply with HIPAA standards

• Work as part of a collaborative, supportive billing team

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in Home Health and/or Hospice billing

• Experience in CASH POSTING, a MUST

• Proficient with ICD-10 and CPT coding

• Solid understanding of insurance billing practices (Medicare, Medicaid, private payers)

• Experience with billing software, EMRs, and Microsoft Office

• High attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• High school diploma or GED required (billing certification a plus)

• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
