RN Staff Development – Home Health and Hospice (Full-Time) | Dependable Health
Dependable Health is seeking a dynamic RN leader to advance Home Health and Hospice clinical excellence. This influential role strengthens our organization by elevating onboarding, training, regulatory readiness, compliance, client experience, clinical competency, and standards development—all grounded in evidence-based practice.
As a key contributor, you will support research, data analysis, performance improvement, and serve as a clinical subject matter expert for multidisciplinary teams. You will work across both Home Health and Hospice divisions to ensure that standards are thoughtfully designed, effectively implemented, and consistently monitored to achieve service excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrates compassion, excellence, and reliability consistent with our mission
Active Registered Nurse license in good standing in the state of practice
BSN preferred
Master’s degree preferred (MSN, MBA, or MHA)
Willingness to obtain OASIS certification within one year of employment
Seven to ten years of leadership experience in Home Health and/or Hospice
At least five years of experience developing and delivering clinical education as an educator, clinical director, or administrator
Experience creating professional development programs across multiple modalities including in-person, virtual, and LMS platforms
Multisite or multi-state experience preferred
Strong understanding of Home Health and Hospice accreditation requirements
Proven subject matter expertise and strong interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in basic computer skills required for daily functions
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Primary Responsibilities
Assess and evaluate clinical operations and employee needs in accordance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies
Serve as the clinical subject matter expert for operations, training, compliance, survey preparation, and field process standards
Conduct research and evaluate current practices to enhance the hospice clinical experience
Support the Director of Quality/RCD by offering recommendations based on performance indicators and educational needs
Partner with Clinical Managers, Regional Directors, and other leaders to optimize orientation and onboarding processes
Maintain strong working knowledge of regulations, laws, accreditation standards, and policies while supporting system-wide compliance
Monitor upcoming regulatory changes and contribute to education, processes, and standards that ensure compliance
Assist in developing clinical practice and compliance standards across service lines
Identify educational gaps and design measurable, outcomes-based training for both in-person and online platforms
Collaborate with key stakeholders in planning, developing, and evaluating new or focused clinical programs
Work with content experts to integrate evidence-based curriculum, competencies, case studies, and learning resources
Support clinical operations by delivering education that enhances patient care quality and is efficient and cost-effective
Manage educational program content and online learning resources while facilitating new employee onboarding
Partner with the Chief Clinical Officer and Regional Clinical Directors to expand and strengthen the mentorship/preceptor program
Integrate policy, quality, and regulatory priorities into educational initiatives to improve patient and organizational outcomes
Build strong working relationships and promote engagement through timely communication and follow-through
Evaluate clinical programs using trend analysis and implement changes to enhance learning effectiveness
Perform additional duties as assigned
Overnight travel required based on organizational needs
